Client Consultation:
The process begins with a call, text or email from a client expressing concern over a water or mold issue. If after sufficient communication between All Hours Restoration and the client a site visit is warranted, then it will be scheduled.
Mold Assessment/Air Quality Testing:
If evidence of organic growth or mold is found, as per NYS state law (2016), an independent mold tester and assessor will be brought in to take air samples and assess both the reason for the growth and the best plan to remediate the issue without contaminating the rest of the home.
Containment:
When affected areas are demolished, without proper containment the spores can be released into the air. When these spores are introduced to humidity, they can kickstart the entire issue all over again. We use HEPA air scrubbers and full containment, as well as follow IICRC and NYS procedure to avoid any potential contamination.
Remediation / Mitigation:
Mold remediation consists of 4 parts; Controlled demolition, HEPA vacuuming, Contents disinfection, and Eradicating the mold using non-toxic EPA antimicrobial fungicide. Homeowners may be tempted to simply “bleach the mold.” this common misconception will only eliminate the top layer of the growth, while the water contents of the bleach feeds the deeper growth.
